Avatr confirms its European launch for 2027: what it means if you want one before then

Avatr, the premium brand backed by Changan, CATL and Huawei, used the Paris Motor Show in October 2026 to confirm its entry into Europe. Carscoops reported on 12 October that Norway and Spain will be the first launch markets in 2027, with the 06T estate and the 07L SUV as the opening models. The T09, a large flagship SUV shown as a concept, is expected to follow. Avatr said it will work with local dealers and service partners and plans a European spare-parts system and roadside assistance.

Sources differ on the details. Carscoops says six more models will follow over three years, but one line in the same report says eight, and Vision Mobility also says eight. On the UK, Vision Mobility lists it as a confirmed start market, while Carscoops does not mention it. European prices have not been published by Avatr.

Avatr is already outside China. Carscoops says it operates in more than 70 countries and regions and has sold over 280,000 vehicles in total. Vision Mobility reports that the 07 range-extender has been on sale in Egypt since July 2026, and that larger deliveries of the 07 began in Thailand in March 2026.

In China, the 07L has been on sale since August 2026, with a CATL 89.33 kWh battery and a CLTC range of 650 to 725 km. The 06T is also on sale there.

What this means for buyers outside China

1. 1.Check the date for your country first. If it is Norway or Spain, an official dealer will exist from 2027, and you may prefer to wait for local warranty and registration.
2. 2.Elsewhere, treat the China price only as a reference. Local prices will include freight, duty, tax and dealer costs. Ask us for an FOB price instead.
3. 3.CLTC range figures are usually higher than WLTP figures. Ask for the WLTP number if your country uses it.
4. 4.For the EU and UK, importing a China-market car for resale may breach trademark rights, and customs can hold the car. Private buyers who contact us themselves carry less risk, and we will ask for a personal-use declaration. We do not recommend this route for dealers.
5. 5.Ask about the version. The T09 specifications may differ in Europe, and the 07L comes in different versions with different batteries.
