Zeekr 9X starts shipping to the UAE: delivery dates and what overseas buyers should check

Zeekr has started volume shipments of its 9X luxury hybrid SUV to the United Arab Emirates. CnEVPost reported on 22 September 2026 that the cars left the Jiangyin port area of Fuzhou Port; Zeekr did not say how many were on board.

Zeekr's UAE website lists three versions: Ultra, Hyper and Obsidian. The same site says deliveries for new orders begin in December 2026. That date applies to new bookings, so it does not tell you when the cars in this first shipment will reach customers.

For comparison, the 9X went on sale in China in September 2025, and a five-seat version followed on 28 July 2026. CarNewsChina describes it as a full-size plug-in hybrid with three motors, up to 1,030 kW of output and a combined CLTC range of about 1,250 km. CnEVPost counts 54,881 deliveries in China in the first eight months of 2026, with a peak of 10,191 in March, and 76,949 since launch.

The overseas plan was set out in April by Geely Auto's chief executive: Middle East first from June, Central Asia in the third quarter, Europe in the fourth quarter. The sister model Zeekr 8X is due to start overseas sales from the fourth quarter of 2026 into early 2027.

What this means for buyers outside China

1. 1.Do not read the UAE price as an export price. It is a local retail price in dirhams, set for a market where Zeekr sells through its own channel. An FOB price from China is a different number, and it moves with version, specification and destination.
2. 2.Ask for the delivery date in writing. Zeekr's own December date is for UAE bookings. Cars sourced for other countries depend on allocation, so the formal quote should state the date.
3. 3.Plug-in hybrids are already covered by China's export licence list, and the 9X is a hybrid, so the exporter on the customs papers must still be a licensed company. Ask for its name before you pay a deposit.
4. 4.Ask which version suits your country. Check steering side, charging plug type, fuel quality and local emission or safety rules. Do not assume a China-market car is accepted where you live.
5. 5.Ask who handles warranty and parts. Where Zeekr has no dealer, the software, updates and repairs become your problem, so settle this before you pay.
