Voyah Passion S goes on sale in China: specs, and why overseas buyers should wait for confirmation

Voyah, the premium electric brand of Dongfeng Motor, launched the Passion S in China on 15 August 2026. CnEVPost reports limited-time launch prices for the three versions, set below the official prices. The top version's launch price is also below the pre-sale price announced on 24 July.

The Passion S is a five-seat, all-electric sports SUV, 5,050 mm long and 1,998 mm wide with a 3,000 mm wheelbase, aimed at the Xiaomi YU7. There are three versions. The 630 Max has an 81.6 kWh battery and a 630 km CLTC range. The 740 Ultra has a 98.1 kWh battery and a 740 km CLTC range. Both are rear-wheel drive with a 300 kW motor. The 700 Ultra+ adds a second motor for 475 kW (637 hp), all-wheel drive, a 700 km CLTC range and a claimed 4.5 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h. Voyah says its 800V platform supports 5C charging, 20% to 80% in 10 minutes. All versions use Huawei's Qiankun ADS 5 driver-assistance system with four LiDAR sensors and the HarmonySpace 5.2 cockpit.

CnEVPost does not mention any overseas plan. Separately, Carscoops reported in May 2026 that Stellantis confirmed talks with Dongfeng about a joint venture that would sell Voyah models in Europe. No deal had been finalised, and the report says only that the Passion S could reach European buyers, which is not confirmed.

What this means for buyers outside China

1. 1.There is no announced export programme for the Passion S. The Stellantis talks are about the brand, and no model, date or price for Europe has been confirmed.
2. 2.CLTC is China's test cycle and usually gives higher range figures than the WLTP cycle used in Europe. Do not compare the 740 km figure directly with a European car's range.
3. 3.Driver assistance and cockpit features depend on Huawei software and maps built for China. Ask in writing which features work in your country, and in which language.
4. 4.The 800V fast-charging claim only helps if your local chargers match the car's charging inlet. Ask which inlet the export car has.
5. 5.Pick the version early. The 81.6 kWh, 98.1 kWh and all-wheel-drive versions differ in price, weight and import duty in many countries.
