Luxeed makes its global debut with the LLounge and Stormax: 18 markets by 2027, no Huawei tech on export cars

Chinese luxury brand Luxeed held its Global Brand Launch on 21 October 2026 at Shenshan Intelligent Valley in Wuhu, China, and showed two export models for the first time: the LLounge luxury MPV and the Stormax performance SUV. The press release, issued on 24 October, says Luxeed will be in 18 markets in 2026 and 2027, 36 by 2028 and 2029, and more than 60 by 2030, with the UAE, Thailand and Indonesia among the first targets. It gives no prices.

Both cars are export versions of models already on sale in China. ChinaEVHome and CarExpert report that the LLounge is the Luxeed V9, a large range-extended MPV that is 5,359 mm long, with a 53.4 kWh battery and a claimed 1,320 km CLTC combined range. The V9 is on sale in China. The Stormax is the Luxeed RX, which is also on sale in China. Luxeed is a Chery brand developed with Huawei.

ChinaEVHome reports the rollout order as Thailand in early 2027, then Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia, with Australia and New Zealand in mid-2027 and the UK later. CarExpert puts Australia in the second quarter of 2027, with the LLounge first. ChinaEVHome says right-hand-drive markets were prioritised, but CarExpert could not confirm this. Astig reports the Philippines in 2027, with an English interface and Type 2 charging ports, and no price.

One detail matters for buyers. Shawn Xu, a Chery international executive, told CarExpert: "For international, Luxeed is not related to Huawei." Export cars will not use the Huawei hardware or software that Chinese models use for driver assistance and the cockpit.

What this means for buyers outside China

1. 1.Do not assume an export Luxeed matches the China car. The Huawei driver-assistance and cockpit systems will not be on export versions, so ask for the export specification in writing.
2. 2.There are no export prices yet. China retail prices will not match an FOB or local price.
3. 3.Official sales are planned for a list of countries. If yours is on it, an official importer will offer local warranty and registration, so check before buying through another route.
4. 4.Range figures are CLTC. The 1,320 km figure for the V9 is not comparable with WLTP numbers.
