BYD launches the Ti 7 (Fang Cheng Bao Tai 7) in Uzbekistan: what buyers should check

BYD put the Fang Cheng Bao Tai 7 on sale in Uzbekistan on 1 October 2026, under the export name Ti 7. CnEVPost reports that sales opened on the first night of an electric mobility carnival in Tashkent that ran from 1 to 4 October. The flagship version is a five-seat, all-wheel-drive car.

The Tai 7 went on sale in China in September 2025 as a plug-in hybrid, with four versions. It is 4,999 mm long and 1,995 mm wide, with a 2,920 mm wheelbase. A 1.5-litre turbo engine works with electric motors, and the larger battery is 35.6 kWh, good for 170 to 200 km of electric range on the Chinese CLTC cycle. The all-wheel-drive version is rated at 4.5 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h. It has become Fang Cheng Bao's best seller: 32,144 units in September 2026 and 192,923 in the first nine months of the year.

Uzbekistan is not a new market for BYD. The brand arrived in 2023, and a plant run with UzAuto in Jizzakh began production in January 2024. That plant was planned for the Song Plus DM-i and Chazor DM-i, and CnEVPost does not say where the Ti 7 is built. Across all markets, BYD's overseas sales were 180,700 in September and 1,342,960 for January to September, up 92.66% on last year.

What this means for buyers outside China

1. 1.Uzbekistan is a retail market where BYD already has local operations. A local retail price is not an export price, so do not compare it directly with an FOB figure.
2. 2.This is a plug-in hybrid, not a battery-electric car. Export paperwork, sea-freight classification and import duty can differ from those of a pure EV in your country, so tell us the version early.
3. 3.The specifications above are for the Chinese-market car. CnEVPost gives no battery or range figures for the Uzbek version, so ask for the export specification in writing, including steering side, language and charging inlet.
4. 4.Where BYD sells officially, ask whether your country has a local importer and who covers warranty and parts. Where it does not, plan for service before you pay.
