The story
Zeekr is the Geely group's premium electric brand, and the 7X is its battery-electric mid-size SUV. It launched in Europe in May 2025 and earned a five-star Euro NCAP rating that July; Zeekr also reports five stars from C-NCAP and ANCAP. In September 2026 the 200,000th 7X left the Ningbo factory, and the model is now sold in more than 50 countries and regions.

The story behind the name
Geely set up Zeekr in March 2021. The name combines 'ZE' (zero, a starting point), 'E' for the electric era and 'Kr' for krypton, a rare gas that glows when electrified. The 7X sits on Geely's SEA platform, shared with the Polestar 4 and Smart #5.
