Exports go through a Chinese export company (export agency, named in the contract), which handles the export licence, customs, inspection and shipping. Since 2026 pure-electric passenger cars need a Chinese export licence.

About the Luxeed R7
One-line positioning
The Luxeed R7 is a coupe-styled mid-size electric SUV built by Chery for the Huawei-backed Luxeed brand. It launched in China on 24 September 2024 against the Tesla Model Y2. A mid-cycle update went on sale in China on 28 September 2026, starting at RMB 239,800, which is 20,000 less than before1. China-market cars carry Huawei systems; Shawn Xu, CEO of Omoda & Jaecoo International (part of Chery), says Luxeed's export cars will not6. An export name and an overseas launch date for the R7 are not yet announced.

Exterior design
The R7 has a sloping fastback roofline with a ducktail spoiler, a full-width tail-light bar, a roof lidar and a slim light line across the nose; CarNewsChina gives a drag coefficient of 0.219 for the 2026 model year4. The September 2026 update keeps the full-width light bars, swaps flush door handles for semi-flush ones and adds Titanium Silver and Star Rose Pink1. The photos here show the earlier body.

Interior and space
The September 2026 update brings a 17.2-inch butterfly-wing dual screen at 3.4K, a 26-inch head-up display, Huawei Sound and four interior colours1. The cabin in our video frames is the earlier China-market car shown at Auto China 2026: a large centre screen, a small instrument screen, and tan leather with wood-look trim. The 2026 model year offered 18-way power front seats with heating, ventilation, massage and a zero-gravity mode, an 837-litre boot plus a 52-litre front boot on the pure-electric car, and an 8.2-litre fridge4. The update is 4,982 mm long on a 2,950 mm wheelbase1; Wikipedia lists 4,956 mm for the original3.

Battery, range and charging
CLTC (the China test cycle): up to 855 km for the updated pure-electric car, which uses Huawei's 800 V platform and a 227 kW single rear motor1. A 2025 report lists 667, 736 and 802 km for the 82 kWh and 100 kWh cars112, and Wikipedia lists 81 kWh LFP and 100 kWh NMC packs for the update3. The range-extender (37 or 53.4 kWh) is rated 251-360 km electric on CLTC11. WLTP: no WLTP figure was found for the pure-electric car; for the range-extender CarNewsChina gives 201 and 284 km electric on WLTC4, which Wikipedia labels WLTP3. Charging: Wikipedia lists 30-80% in 15 minutes for some versions3; peak power and a 10-80% time were not found in any source we opened.

Driver assistance and cockpit
At the 2024 launch the R7 used Huawei's Qiankun ADS 3.02. The September 2026 update has ADS 5 with a new 896-channel dual-optical-path lidar, and an in-cabin lidar on some trims1. The cockpit runs Huawei's HarmonyOS. Shawn Xu, CEO of Omoda & Jaecoo International (part of Chery), said Luxeed export cars are "not related to Huawei"6, so these functions and apps cannot be assumed on an export car. At the Dubai media drive Luxeed showed its valet-parking and highway-assist functions without naming the system8.

Safety
C-NCAP: no result for the R7 was found. Euro NCAP and ANCAP: no result was found. We do not state a star rating. Do not rely on a dealer or video claim of a star rating unless it links to the rating body's own page.

Who it suits and rivals
The 2024 launch targeted the Model Y2. The updated R7 costs RMB 239,800 (Max), 259,800 (Max+), 289,800 (Max+ Long Range) and 319,800 (Ultra) in China1. Xiaomi's YU7 Standard starts at RMB 233,500 (73.0 kWh, 643 km CLTC) and the Long Range at 253,500 (835 km); Tesla lists the Model Y from RMB 263,500 to 339,00010. So the R7 Max sits about 6,300 above the YU7 Standard and 23,700 below the cheapest Model Y. These are China prices. The R7 suits buyers who want a long-range coupe-SUV with a rich cabin and do not need a published safety rating; it suits less a buyer who needs Huawei software on an export car.

Export notes
Steering and ports: China-market cars are left-hand drive and use two GB/T sockets, as the charging-flap frame shows; GB/T does not connect to Type 2 or CCS2 chargers without adapters12. Software: confirm item by item the language, maps, apps and updates for your country. Official status: Chery's chairman said in April 2026 that overseas dealer talks were under way and the car was being adjusted for local rules5; Luxeed held a global media drive of the R7 in Dubai on 9 July 202689. Luxeed's announced export models are the LLounge and Stormax, not the R767. The R7's export name and overseas launch date are not yet announced. Supply: CRAVEUO can supply the R7 directly, exported by an export company authorised by the manufacturer; CRAVEUO is not an official dealer of the brand. The formal quotation sets the final price. We promise no warranty period or mileage here; warranty terms are set in each contract. Ask for an FOB quote on craveuo.com or WhatsApp +44 7950 045431.
