Exports go through a Chinese export company (export agency, named in the contract), which handles the export licence, customs, inspection and shipping. Since 2026 pure-electric passenger cars need a Chinese export licence.

WEY is Great Wall Motor's premium marque, launched in 2016; the name comes from the surname of GWM chairman Wei Jianjun.
