How we inspect

Checked before it ships

Every piece comes to us first. Our staff check it against one checklist, point by point, and only then send it to you. It's a visual check by people, not a laboratory authentication.

Soft launch: ordering isn't open yet. This is how it will work at launch; the photo record and check tag are planned and not live yet.

From order to your door

    Pick your size and pay the all-in price (once ordering opens).

  2. 2We buy from approved channels

    International brands from the brand's own channels or authorised UK/EU retailers; Chinese brands from official stores or authorised sellers.

  3. 3It arrives with us

    It comes to our inspection point first — suppliers never ship straight to you.

  4. 4We inspect it

    Our staff go through the checklist below, item by item, by eye.

    Packed, sealed with our check tag and sent tracked.

    You can return it within 14 days of delivery, no reason needed.

The checklist

Every piece goes through these 7 checks. If one fails, it doesn't ship.

    Model and style code

    The model, version and style code match your order (code on the box, tag or inside label).

  • 2

    Colour

    The colour and colourway match the product page.

  • 3

    Size

    The size label and box label show the size you chose; pairs are the same size.

  • 4

    Finish and defects

    New and unworn; we look for obvious defects — stitching, glue, marks, creases, scratches, hardware.

  • 5

    Tags and packaging

    Tags, care labels and the box or original packaging are there and not badly damaged.

  • 6

    Accessories

    Everything the brand says comes with it: spare laces, dust bag, booklet, warranty card and so on.

  • 7

    Purchase record

    We match the item with our purchase record from an approved channel — item, size and quantity; for resale-platform items, also the platform's own check tag.

What we do — and don't

We do

  • Buy only from approved channels and keep the purchase records
  • Have staff check every piece by eye against the checklist
  • Compare details with the brand's official photos and description
  • Hold anything that fails: exchange it with the supplier, or tell you and refund in full

We don't

  • Laboratory or instrument tests (UV, X-ray, material analysis)
  • Taking anything apart or any destructive test
  • Official authentication or certification by the brand
  • Any promise to match a brand's own authentication

CRAVEUO isn't affiliated with the brands we sell, and passing our check doesn't mean a brand endorses or authorises us.

Where different items come from

International brands (current styles)
The brand's own channels or authorised UK/EU retailers, inspected by us before dispatch.
Chinese brands
Bought from official stores or authorised sellers in China, inspected there and shipped direct to you.
Discontinued and past-season styles (quote on request)
Found on UK resale platforms. These platforms state publicly that their own authentication team checks every item before it goes to the buyer; when it reaches us, we check it again against the same list.

The photo record you'll getPlanned

We photograph set angles during the check and send you the photos of your own piece when it ships, so you can compare on arrival.

The check tagPlanned

Once a piece passes, we fit a one-time check tag to it or its packaging, numbered to match your inspection record. An intact tag shows it hasn't been opened since we checked it. Cut it off before trying it on — that doesn't affect your 14-day return.

The tag links the piece to its record; it isn't an anti-counterfeit device.

Our authenticity promise, plainly

  • If you think an item isn't genuine, contact us. If it turns out not to be, we refund you in full and pay all postage both ways.
  • Anything that fails our check isn't sent: we exchange it with the supplier, or tell you and refund in full.
  • Faulty or wrong items are covered by your UK legal rights, and we pay the return postage.
  • Changed your mind? Return within 14 days of delivery (except hygiene-sealed items once unsealed).
