Exports go through a Chinese export company (export agency, named in the contract), which handles the export licence, customs, inspection and shipping. Since 2026 pure-electric passenger cars need a Chinese export licence.

The story behind the name
The G9 was XPeng's first model designed from the outset for both China and overseas markets; it went on sale in 2022 and earned five stars from Euro NCAP. The March 2025 update moved to 5C charging and XPeng's camera-based Turing driver assistance.
