The story behind the name
NIO's Chinese name 蔚来 means 'a blue sky is coming'. The ET9, unveiled at NIO Day 2023 and delivered from 2025, showcases the company's in-house tech: its own Shenji NX9031 driving chip, steer-by-wire and fully active suspension, all on a 900 V platform.
