The story behind the name
NIO's Chinese name 蔚来 (Wèilái) means 'Blue Sky Coming'; the English name stands for 'A New Day'. Its model codes follow a pattern: ET for saloons and estates, ES for SUVs and EC for coupé-SUVs, with a bigger number meaning a bigger car.
