The story behind the name
Xingyuan (星愿) means 'wish upon a star'; Geely (吉利) means 'auspicious'. Unveiled in September 2024, it became the best-selling car of any kind in China in 2025, ahead of the Tesla Model Y. Abroad it is the Geely EX2 or E2.
