The story behind the name
Denza (腾势, 'soaring power') began in 2010 as a BYD–Daimler joint venture and became wholly BYD-owned in 2024. The Z9S is a shorter, saloon-only companion to the Z9, the 'S' standing for 'sports sedan'.
