The story
Denza is BYD's premium brand, and the N9 is its six-seat luxury hybrid SUV with BYD's advanced God's Eye B driver-assistance system. The model held its official launch in Shenzhen on March 21, 2025. In May 2026 Denza reported reaching 500,000 cumulative units, and the N9 received a Flash Charging refresh on May 18 of that year. The refreshed model is built on BYD's e3 platform.
The story behind the name
The N9 debuted in November 2024 and went on sale on 21 March 2025. Its e³ platform drives each rear wheel with its own motor, allowing tank-style turns, and its DiSus-A air suspension can raise and lower the body;
