The story behind the name
The Seagull belongs to BYD's 'Ocean' series, whose cars are named after sea creatures. It debuted on 27 April 2023, took 10,000 orders within 24 hours and passed 200,000 units by November that year, making it one of the cheapest and best-selling EVs in the world.
