The story
The second-generation AION V is a battery-electric SUV from GAC's AION brand. In September 2025, at the IAA Mobility show in Munich, GAC announced that the AION V was officially entering Europe, with prices starting at €35,990. According to GAC, the model has earned a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating, and it leads the company's push into the European market.

The story behind the name
AION is GAC Group's all-electric brand. It grew out of GAC New Energy in 2017 and became the separate company GAC Aion in 2020; the name echoes 'aeon', a new era.
