About the brand
Yangwang is the luxury off-road and supercar brand of BYD, unveiled in January 2023 and based in Shenzhen. Its representative models are the U8 SUV and the U9 supercar, both with four-motor setups. Its first overseas market is the United Arab Emirates, where the U8 is sold with Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility. In November 2025 BYD announced a Middle East launch for early 2026 and a UK launch planned for 2027.
