About the brand
MG is a brand of SAIC Motor, which gained control of the name in 2007 through its acquisition of Nanjing Automobile. Headquartered in Shanghai, it sells affordable electric and hybrid cars, including the ZS, IM5 and IM6. The IM brand joined the MG network in Europe from July 2026. According to Autoblog, MG sales in Europe rose 26 percent in 2025.
