The story behind the name
Leapmotor was founded in Hangzhou in December 2015 by Fu Liquan and Zhu Jiangming, co-founders of the security-camera maker Dahua; its Chinese name 零跑 (Língpǎo) means 'zero run'. In 2023 Stellantis bought a 20% stake for €1. 5 billion and now sells Leapmotor cars in Europe.
