The story
The IM LS9 is the flagship extended-range electric SUV from SAIC's IM Motors, officially launched on November 12, 2025. It uses a 66 kWh battery and a 1.5T engine in IM's Stellr extended-range system. IM Motors gives a pure-electric CLTC range of 402 km and a combined range of up to 1,508 km. Two versions launched at guide prices of RMB 332,800 and RMB 362,800.

IM Motors was founded in 2020 by SAIC, Zhangjiang Hi-Tech and Alibaba; the name IM stands for 'Intelligence in Motion'.
