The story
Deepal is Changan Automobile's new-energy brand. The S07 is its mid-size SUV, offered as a battery-electric or range-extended model, and it is already exported to Europe and other markets. In 2024 the S07 earned a five-star overall rating from Euro NCAP, and a reassessment published in December 2025 kept the five stars. The tests cover adult and child occupant protection, vulnerable road users and active safety assistance.

The story behind the name
Deepal comes from 深蓝 (Shenlan), 'Deep Blue' – Changan's new-energy brand launched in 2022, named for the deep ocean and night sky as a symbol of technology and the future.
