Yuan is named after the Yuan dynasty (1271–1368); the Yuan family began as the petrol BYD S1.

How to buy the BYD Yuan Pro from China

  3. Sign the contract; you pay only after signing.
  4. Inspect the car, or see it on a video call, before it ships.
  5. It ships by RoRo or container and is delivered to you (DAP); a local customs agent clears it.

In the EU or the UK? We only export to private buyers for their own use, not to dealers. A China-market car needs individual approval (IVA) in your country before it can be registered — cost and time vary by country; EU import duty is 10%, plus your country's VAT. If a model can't get approval, we tell you straight away.

These are launch prices: BYD's China website does not list the Yuan Pro today (checked 2026-10-28).

What is the range of the BYD Yuan Pro?

The Yuan Pro is rated 320 km with the 38 kWh battery and 401 km with the 47.04 kWh battery on the CLTC cycle (CarNewsChina, 2023-05-31). CLTC is a Chinese test cycle, so real-world range is usually lower.

How big is the BYD Yuan Pro and how powerful is it?

It is 4,375 mm long, 1,785 mm wide and 1,680 mm high on a 2,535 mm wheelbase, with a 70 kW motor and 180 Nm of peak torque. It seats 5 (CarNewsChina, 2023-05-31; CarNewsChina database, 2026-10-28).
