The story behind the name
Tang is named after the Tang dynasty (618–907), often seen as a golden age of Chinese culture. The Tang L went on sale on 9 April 2025 as a seven-seat flagship on BYD's Super e-Platform; details such as 'dragon whisker' air intakes and bamboo-weave tail-lights draw on Chinese heritage.
