The story behind the name
Han is named after the Han dynasty (206 BC – AD 220), and the Han L is the bigger flagship above the original Han. Launched on 9 April 2025 alongside the Tang L, it debuted BYD's Super e-Platform: 1,000 V charging at up to 1 MW, which BYD says adds about 400 km of range in five minutes, and motors that spin to 30,000 rpm.
