The six Chinese SUVs here all seat six and all plug in: two range extenders (EREV) and four plug-in hybrids (PHEV). The Range Rover SE SWB 3.0, Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 4MATIC and Lexus LX 700h are petrol hybrids or mild hybrids without plug-in electric range. All six Chinese cars are longer than the Range Rover SE SWB (5,052 mm). China list prices run from ¥269,800 to ¥549,800 for the Chinese trims priced, and from ¥968,000 to ¥1,412,000 for the rivals.

AITO M9

The longest car in the table (5,285 mm): 233 mm longer than the Range Rover SE SWB and 62 mm longer than the GLS 450. A range extender with the largest battery listed (75.4 kWh) and 422 km CLTC electric range. China list: ¥549,800. AITO lists its driver assistance as Huawei Qiankun ADS 5. Zeekr 9X

European Ultra AWD 55 kWh specification. The longest wheelbase in the table (3,169 mm, 34 mm more than the GLS 450) and the highest listed system power: 660 kW, against 280 kW plus a 15 kW boost for the GLS. Zeekr gives 179 km electric range without stating the cycle. The European page gives no China list price.

Lynk & Co 900

The 900 is 188 mm longer than the Range Rover SE SWB, with 163 mm more wheelbase, and 310 mm more wheelbase than the Lexus LX 700h. Lynk & Co lists 650 kW system power, a 52.38 kWh battery and 268 km CLTC electric range. China list: ¥416,900, against from ¥1,250,000 for the LX.

Li Auto L9

A range extender with a 72.7 kWh battery; Li Auto states 420 km electric range without naming the cycle. It is 32 mm longer than the GLS 450, with a 10 mm shorter wheelbase. China list: ¥509,800, against from ¥968,000 for the GLS.

Denza N9

A plug-in hybrid with 420 km CLTC electric range. Denza lists DC charging from 10% to 70% in 5 minutes and 10% to 97% in 9 minutes; we did not find a battery capacity we could confirm. It is 206 mm longer than the Range Rover SE SWB and the same width as the GLS 450 (2,030 mm). China list: from ¥409,800.

Geely Galaxy M9

A plug-in hybrid (top trim) with a 41.46 kWh battery and 210 km CLTC electric range. The shortest of the six (5,205 mm), yet 153 mm longer than the Range Rover SE SWB, with 180 mm more wheelbase than the Lexus LX 700h. The lowest China list price in the table: ¥269,800.
